SON OF A TANNER’S LABOURER. HE HAD FOUR BROTHERS AND TWO SISTERS, MARGARET AND ALICE. HIS BROTHERS, GEORGE (EYR) & SGT. JOE W. (EYR) ALSO SERVED AT THIS ADDRESS.
