HE ENLISTED AT BEVERLEY. SERVED AS A PRIVATE IN THE 5TH YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 17/09/1916, AGED 22.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOWED MOTHER.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE BEVERLEY MEMORIAL HALL AND THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
