
Born Hull, 1883. Son of Charles William Booth (1844-1908) and Martha Ann Barnes (1850-1925). He had three brothers, Frank, Ben and Herbert and one sister, Florence.
Married at St Stephens, Hull, on 1 Sep 1909. Husband of Annie Beech (1882-1963), at 16, Elm Tree Bank Terrace, Clarendon Street, Hull (Army Address) and 9, Raglan Avenue, Raglan Street, Newland Avenue, Hull (War Pension address). They had one son, Bernard William.
He worked as a General Labourer. Described as 5 foot, 8 inches tall, 38-40 inch chest &Primitive Methodist religion.
Enlisted at Hull, on 25/3/1915. Served with the 31st & 32nd Hull Divisional Ammunition Column, Royal Field Artillery. Served in France continuously for over 2 years, between 30/12/1915 to 3/6/1918. Discharged on 25 Apr 1919, after 5 years and 4 days, army service. He died at Hull, on 7 Feb 1924, aged 41.
