Son of Alexander and Margaret Brebbar, of Aberdeen, Scotland. He lived at 6 Selkirk Street, Hull and had worked for 5 years before the start of the war, working as a Steward, for the Wilson Passenger Line. He was popular and well known in Hull Circles. He had recently emigrated to Australia, before the war began and enlisted as soon as war began. Served with the 18th Australian Imperial Force. Killed at Gallipoli on 22/08/1915. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, with his Photograph.
