Brewer, George Edward

Born Hull, 18 Dec 1892. Son of Arthue William Brewer (1863-1927) and Elizabeth Godfrey (1865-1939). He had five sisters and two brothers.

He married Hilda Campey (1895-1954). They had five sons and lived at 9, Victoria terrace, Kimberley Street, Hull (War Pension address).

Described in his Navy records as 5 foot, 4 inches tall, 34.5 inch chest, brown eyes, light brown hair, tattoo on left arm.

Joined the Navy on 16 Aug 1911. First service on 28 Jan 1913.

Served on HMS “Neptune” at the Battle of Jutland. Invalided with a perforated Ulcer. Died at Hull on 22 Jul 1926, aged 33.
