Walter was born in Beverley in July 1892.
He was the son of George and Ada Brigham.
He enlisted in Beverley and served as a private in the 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment
Walter was mortally wounded near Ypres Belgium on 9 May 1915 and died of wounds at Boulogne Hospital.
