BORN HULL 1888. ENLISTED HULL. LIVED WITH HIS AUNT, MRS S. E. GREEN AT 239 ALBERT AVENUE, HULL. SON OF JOHN ALBERT & ALICE BRINHAM, OF 25 CONSTABLE STREET, HULL. HE LEFT FAMILY ANNIE, WILLIAM & FLORRIE. PRIOR TO WAR ALBERT WAS A REGULAR SOLDIER WITH ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY IN INDIA. HE HAD WORKED AT THE IDEAL RADIATOR WORKS FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS.
AS A RESERVIST HE WAS RECALLED AT THE OUTBREAK OF WAR AND TRAVELLED WITH THE ORIGINAL BRITISH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE TO BELGIUM. HE HAD MANAGED TO ESCAPED INJURY. HE WAS WOUNDED IN FEBRUARY 1917 & DIED OF HIS WOUNDS IN A FRENCH HOSPITAL. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 27TH MARCH 1917, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. * HE IS BURIED AT BRAY MILITARY CEMETERY, SOMME, FRANCE.
