HE ENLISTED AT HULL, IN FEBRUARY 1918. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 12816 EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 1ST DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 19/09/1918, AGED 18 AND 9 MONTHS.
UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WENT TO HIS FATHER, WALTER. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HDM 12/10/1918, WITH HIS PHOTO. *
