HUSBAND OF ANNIE (PARKER) OF 7, EXCHANGE STREET, HULL & 301, BEVERLEY ROAD, HULL. THEY MARRIED AT CAISTOR, LINCOLNSHIRE, ON 25/06/1914.
HE JOINED DRAGOONS IN 1902. WORKED AS A RULLEYMAN, AT FINKLE STREET, COTTINGHAM. (1911 CENSUS).
HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 07/12/1915. DECRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 8 INCHES TALL, 40-42INCH CHEST, PEACOCK TATTOO ON LEFT FOREARM. SERVED IN THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 23/08/1918. REPORTED MISSING AND KILLED , ON 10/09/1918, AGED 33.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE CAMBRAI MEMORIAL. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW ANN AND DAUGHTER, DOROTHY.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 27/08/1919. *
