BORN HULL 1857. SON OF MATHEW AND MARY BRYAN, BOTH DECEASED. HE WAS WELL KNOWN IN HULL FISHING CIRCLES AND HAD BEEN AT SEA FOR MANY YEARS. HE WAS ACCIDENTALLY KILLED SAILING FROM LIVERPOOL TO GLASGOW, FALLING INTO THE HOLD FROM THE TOP DECK. HE DIED ON 24/09/1914, AGED 57. HE LEFT A WIDOW, ELIZA EMMA (CALLAN) AND FOUR CHILDREN AT THIS ADDRESS. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH ARE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 17TH OCTOBER 1914.* THERE ARE NO CWGC RECORDS OF HIS DEATH.
