Bryant, Robert Kirman

Born 1892. Son of George Bryant (1866-1947) and Mary Alice Kirman (1869-1940), of Skirlaugh; He had four brothers and a sister.

He married at Skirlaugh, in April 1914. Husband of Edith Bryant (1893-1957), of Elm Tree Cottage, Skirlaugh, Hull. He worked on a farm.

He enlisted in Hull. Served as a Gunner, in the Royal Field Artillery. Died of wounds, on 21/04/1918.

He left £125 in his will to his widow Edith and young son, Kirman (1915-1944).

His son, Trooper, Kirman Bryant, Queen’s Bays (2nd Dragoon Guards), Royal Armoured Corps, was killed in Italy, on 20 Sep 1944, aged 29.
