BORN HULL 1887. SON OF GEORGE CADE & FANNY RILEY, OF 17 , BUCKINGHAM STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). HE WAS A REGULAR ARMY SOLDIER SERVING WITH 2ND LEICESTER REGIMENT, WHEN WAR BEGAN.

MARRIED TO LUCY SMALLEY, WITH A YOUNG SON, ALSO CALLED WALTER.

HE WAS SENT TO FRANCE, ON 12/10/1914, WITH THE BRITISH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. KILLED IN ACTION, AT LOOS, ON 25/09/1915, AGED 28. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE LOOS MEMORIAL, TO THE MISSING.
