Cahalin, Charles

Born Hull, 1884. Married Beatrice Helen Heath (1887-1921), at St Johns, Newland, Hull, 20 Jul 1908. They had four sons, two of which died young.

He was the Barman at the Haworth Arms, Newland (1911 & 21 census).

He enlisted at Hull, on 10/12/1915. served with the York and Lancaster Regiment, & Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding) Regiment. Invalided home with Trench foot in December 1916. Discharged in 1919, with Tonsillitis. His wife died in October 1921. He died on 23 Dec 1921.

The guardian of his two remaining sons, Ernest and Charles, was Mrs Mary Ann Robinson, of 31, Gordon Crescent, Cannon Street, Hull (War Pension Address).
