HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW WHO MOVED TO 8 MONTROSE AVENUE, GIBSON STREET, HULL. HE HAD LOST BOTH PARENTS AND DID NOT KNOW THE ADDRESS OF ANY SIBLINGS. HE DIED LEAVING NO CHILDREN.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HDM 24/01/1918. HIS NAME IS ONE OF 46 EMPLOYEES LISTED ON HULL’S “IDEAL BOILERS AND RADIATOR WW1 ROLL OF HONOUR”, NATIONAL AVENUE, HULL.
HE IS BURIED AT LIJSSENTHOEK MILITARY CEMETERY, BELGIUM. HIS GRAVE, READS, “MAY HE REST IN PEACE”.
