HE MARRIED AT HULL, IN 1905. HUSBAND OF MARY ELIZABETH BENSON OF, 172 CHILTERN STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 6, GARDENER’S BUILDINGS, WALKER STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). THEY HAD ONE DAUGHTER, LILIAN. HE WORKED AS A COAL TRIMMER
HE SERVED AS A PRIVATE IN THE 1/5TH YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED IN GERMANY. ON 28/10/1918, AGED 35. BURIED AT COLOGNE SOUTHERN CEMETERY, GERMANY.
HE LEFT SISTERS, FLORRIE & CIS. BROTHER IN LAWS WALTER & ALBERT. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIFE MARY ELIZABETH.
