DEPRIVED OF A LANCE CORPORAL STRIPE FOR USING OBSCENE LANGUAGE TO A NCO. HE ARRIVED IN FRANCE WITHE THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, ON 14/07/1915. GIVEN FIELD PUNISHMENT NO:1 FOR DAMAGING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 10/10/1918, AGED 23. HE HAD SERVED IN THE ARMY FOR 4 YEARS AND 34 DAYS. BURIED IN FRANCE.
