BORN HULL, ON CHRISTMAS DAY, 25/12/1895. ONLY SON OF JANE WILKINSON (1863- 1935) & ALFRED CHADWICK (1867-1910) OF 13, ALBERT TERRACE, GILLETT STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). NEPHEW OF MR CHADWICK AT 80 SEATON STREET, HULL. COUSIN OF PRIVATE, SYDNEY CHADWICK, MGC, KILLED ON 14/07/1918. HE WAS BROTHER TO ELSIE MAY CHADWICK (1897-1928)
A FORMER ERRAND LAD. ALBERT WAS INVOLVED IN A TRAIN DERAILMENT AT NEWARK IN 1915. AND WAS AWARDED A SILVER WATCH BY THE GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY COMPANY, FOR RESCUING THE PASSENGERS. HE IS PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 2ND NOVEMBER 1915. *
HE SERVED AS AN ENGINEMAN IN THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE. HE DIED OF FLU, ON THE 1ST AUGUST 1918, AGED 22.
HE IS BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. HE LEFT HIS FIANCEE ESTHER TO MOURN HIS LOSS.
