Enlisted at Barton, Lincolnshire. Formerly 5/1654, Territorial Reserves. Transferred to the 1/5th Northumberland Fusiliers. Killed in action, on 27/05/1918, aged 28.
Buried at La Ville-aux-Bois British Cemetery, France. His army effects were left to his mother, Mary at this war Pension address.
