HE WORKED AS AN OIL MILLER. HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS LANCE CORPORAL, 11308, 8TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 23/03/1916, AGED 27. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, EDWARD.
HE IS BURIED IN FRANCE, AT VOORMEZEELE ENCLOSURE NO.3.
