HE MARRIED LILLY DAVEY (1895-1977) AT SCULCOATES CHURCH, ON 23/05/1914. THEY HAD ONE SON, ALBERT LOUVAIN CONKERTON (1914-1968), AND LIVED AT 1, CLAUDE TERRACE, SEATON STREET, HULL AND 2, FREDERICK’S TERRACE, NORNABELL STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 16/08/1915. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 4557, 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 24391, DUKE OF WELLINGTON’S (WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT), ON 30/10/1916. WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 03/05/1917, AGED 25.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, LILLY.

HIS NAME IS CARVED ON THE STONE PILLAR MEMORIAL OF ST MARY’S CHURCH, SCULCOATES WHERE HE MARRIED.
HE IS BURIED AT BROWN’S COPSE CEMETERY, ROEUX, FRANCE.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 13/07/1917.
