HIS WIFE MAUDE COOK (BUTLER) LIVED AT 3 VICTORIA AVENUE, PERRY STREET, HULL. (CWGC ADDRESS). SERVED AS FIRST ENGINEER, ON THE HULL, STEAM TRAWLER ‘AMBER’. HIS SHIP STRUCK A MINE. ALL HANDS LOST. HIS DEATH IS RECORDED IN THE CWGC RECORDS. HIS NAME IS REMEMBERED ON THE TOWER HILL NAVAL MEMORIAL, LONDON. HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, ALFRED ERNEST COOK, 11/796, EYR, DIED OF WAR RELATED INJURIES, ON 18/12/1919, AGED 52.
