BORN LINCOLN 1886. SON OF ELIZABETH (WALKER) & HENRY DREW COOK, OF 7 VILLA PLACE, HULL & 2, CLIFTON GARDENS, ST GEORGES ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION AND ARMY ADDRESS). A PATTERN MAKER FOR MESSRS, AMOS AND SMITHS, ENGLISH STREET, HULL.
HE ENLISTED IN THE ROYAL ENGINEERS, ON 31/03/1909 AND JOINED THE RESERVES ON 31/03/1912. MOBILIZED ON 06/08/1914, WHEN WAR BEGAN. ARRIVED IN FRANCE ON 16/09/1914. TRANSFERRED BACK TO ENGLAND IN MAY 1915, AFTER 254 DAYS AT THE FRONT. DIED OF TUBERCULOSIS, ON 05/09/1915, AGED 29. BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY.
HE LEFT BROTHERS, ALBERT AND ERNEST COOK.
