Born Hull 1887. Son of William and Ann Cook, of 13, Belle View Terrace, Alexandra Street, Hull (1911 Census). He had four brothers and three sisters.

He enlisted on 13 April 1915 Served overseas, with the 1st Northumberland Fusiliers. Discharged as Insane, on 29 March 1918
Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: 340730).
Committed to the Hull City Asylum, Willerby Near Hull (1921 census). Died at Hull in 1932, aged 45.
His elder brothers James (EYR) & Harold Cook, (RE’s) wounded & discharged on 28 Nov 1917, also served in WW1.
