HE MARRIED ADA WAUDBY (1891-1977), AT ST BARNABAS CHURCH, HULL, ON 31/08/1912. THEY LIVED AT 15 CHESTNUT AVENUE, WELLSTED STREET, HULL, WITH THEIR CHILDREN, JAMES AND GLADYS (WAR PENSION RECORDS)

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 26372, THE EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED AS A LANCE CORPORAL, WITH THE 1/4TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/05/1918, AGED 27. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, ADA.
BURIED: CHAMBRECY BRITISH CEMETERY, MARNE, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “BELOVED HUSBAND OF ADA COOPER THY WILL BE DONE”
