DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6.5 INCHES TALL, 134 LBS WEIGHT, 35- 37 INCH CHEST, HAZEL EYES, BROWN HAIR & CHURCH OF ENGLAND RELIGION.. HE MARRIED MAY CHESTON COX, ON 15/09/1906. HIS WIFE AND TWO DAUGHTERS, LIVED AT 29 EWALD ROAD, FULHAM, LONDON (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).
HE ENLISTED IN FULHAM, SW6, ON 07/10/1914. JOINED AS PRIVATE, 827, 2ND ROYAL FUSILIERS. ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 16/11/1915. HE DIED IN HOSPITAL OF EPILEPSY, ON 02/02/1918, AGED 40. HE HAD SERVED FOR 3 YEARS AND 119 DAYS. BURIED AT ALEXANDRIA (HADRA) WAR MEMORIAL CEMETERY.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 08/03/1918. LEFT BROTHERS, BRADWELL AND ALFRED AND SISTER LIZZIE. HIS WIDOW RE-MARRIED AND HIS DAUGHTERS, PHYLLIS AND MYRA WERE LOOKED AFTER BY HIS FATHER, JAMES COX.
