HE MARRIED AMY CHARLOTTE AND HAD TWO DAUGHTERS, AMY & IRENE, LIVING AT 18, WOODHOUSE STREET, HULL AND 2, PERCY COTTAGES, NORNABELL STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).
HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 205401, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 1ST IRISH MUNSTER FUSILIERS. DIED OF WOUNDS, AT THE 1ST AUSTRALIAN HOSPITAL, ON 24/03/1918, AGED 33. BURIED AT ST. SEVER CEMETERY EXTENSION, ROUEN, FRANCE.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 25/04/1918, AND IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 02/04/1918.
