Born Hull, 02/09/1897. Son of Lily Cresswell, of 4, Church terrace, St Paul Street, Hull (War pension address). He had one brother, Sidney Warwick Cresswell (1899-1933).
Enlisted at Hull. Served with the 2nd Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). Killed in action, on 28/11/1917, aged 20.
Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. His army effects were left to his mother, Lily.
