BORN HULL 07/05/1900. SON OF THOMAS HENRY CUTHBERTSON AND SARAH ANN WITHERS (1864-1930), WHO LIVED AT 12 RICHMOND TERRACE, HARROW STREET, HULL (CWGC NAVY ADDRESS). ONE OF EIGHT CHILDREN AND SEVEN SONS, FOUR DIED IN THE WAR.
A DECK HAND IN THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE. LOST AT SEA, ON 10/03/1919, AGED 19, WHEN HIS SHIP HIT A MINE. HIS NAME WAS RECORDED ON ST BARNABAS BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE.
HIS TWO BROTHERS, WILFRED (1894-1917) AND SIDNEY CUTHBERTSON (1896-1917), DIED IN THE WAR. AS DID HIS STEP BROTHER, WILLIAM BRATTON (1885-1915), LOST AT SEA ON 23/08/1915, SERVING AT THIS SAME ADDRESS.
