He enlisted in Hull. Served as Gunner, “Y” 50th T.M. Bty., Royal Field Artillery. Died of wounds, on 23/08/1918, aged 24.
Died of wounds. Buried in France. His grave inscription reads, SOLDIER OF CHRIST WELL DONE ENTER THY MASTER’S JOY.
