On the 14th February 1918 when on route from Hull for Italy she was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine UB-57 when 11 miles East from Royal Sovereign Light Vessel, English Channel. Owned by The Shipping Controller, managed by Cunard S.S. Co, Liverpool. There were three casualties.
