SS Burma, built by S. P. Austin & Son, Sunderland in 1891 and owned at the time of her loss by Bennett Steamship Co. Ltd., Goole, was a British steamer of 706 tons.
On June 23rd, 1916, Burma, on a voyage from London to Goole in ballast, was sunk by a mine from the German submarine UC-6 (Otto Ehrentraut), 15 miles east of Harwich. 7 persons were lost.
