HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 4000, EYR. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 45134, 2ND SOUTH WALES BORDERERS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 11/04/1918, AGED 28. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, ROSINA.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE WW1 MEMORIAL, AT ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, NEWINGTON, HULL.
