MARRIED AT HULL, IN 1913. HUSBAND OF MYRA ANDREWS. SHE LIVED AT 10 BALFOUR STREET, HUL AND 65, EAST GROVE, GIPSYVILLE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES). THEY HAD ONE SON, WILLIAM HENRY EASTER, BORN ON 16/04/1914.
ENLISTED HULL. FORMERLY, A SAPPER IN THE EAST RIDING ROYAL ENGINEERS. TRANSFERRED TO THE 87TH FIELD COMPANY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 24/05/1918, AGED 33.
BURIED AT MAILLY WOOD CEMETERY, MAILLY-MAILLET, SOMME, FRANCE.
HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE EAST RIDING ROYAL ENGINEER MEMORIAL AT HULL MINSTER.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 04/06/1918.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, MYRA. SHE HAD ALREADY LOST HER BROTHER, IN THE WAR – PRIVATE, JAMES WILLIAM ANDREWS, 12/1141, 12TH EYR ON 13/11/1916, AGED 32. HE LIVED AT 85, BRIGHT STREET. HULL.
