Edwards, John Henry

The guardian of his illegitimate child was Mary Cousins, at 6, Poplar Cottage, Sculcoates Lane, Hull (War Pension address).

Born Pendlebury, Lancashire, 1891. Son of John and Naomi Edwards, of 33 Oak Street, Pendlebury, Lancashire. He resided at Wigan, Lancashire. He worked as a Miner Underground, living at 398 Warrington Road Abram Nr Wigan Lancashire (1911 Census).

He enlisted at Birkenhead, Liverpool. Served in the 1st/8th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed in action, on 11 Jun 1917, aged 26. Buried in France.
