HUSBAND OF EDITH LILIAN ELLIS, AT 160 , DE LA POLE AVENUE, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). SERVED AS SECOND MATE, ON THE FISHING TRAWLER ‘QUAIR’ WHICH WAS LOST AT SEA, WITH ALL HANDS, ON 03/11/1916. HIS NAME IS RECORED ON THE ST MATTHEWS CHURCH, WAR MEMORIAL, THE BOULEVARD, WITH HIS BROTHERS JOHN THOMAS ELLIS AND BENJAMISN ELLIS, BOTH SHIP SKIPPERS LOST AT SEA DURING WW1.
