BORN HULL 1884. ELDEST SON OF WILLIAM & ALICE EVERETT, OF 4 ARGYLL TERRACE, ARGYLL STREET, 20 , ARTHUR STREET, HULL & 72 SANDRINGHAM STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD A YOUNGER BROTHER, FRED EVERETT. HE WORKED FOR MESSRS, WILSONS & SONS, AS A CLERK BEFORE THE WAR STARTED. “HIS BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL PERSONALITY GAINED HIM A LARGE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS.”
HE ENLISTED AS PRIVATE, 10/328 IN THE 10TH EYR. SERVED IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. TRANSFERRED TO THE 22ND NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. DIED OF WOUNDS, RECEIVED IN ACTION, ON 10/04/1917, AGED 33. HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON ST MATTHEWS CHURCH ROH, BOULEVARD.
