Born Hull, 1890. Son of Frederick and Annie Faulner, of Scarborough. He had two brothers, Herbert and Harold and two sisters, Gertrude and Florence. He worked as a Waiter, in London. described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, 128 lbs weith, 36-39 inch chest
He married Mary Mouncey on 20 Jan 1915, at St Olart Bermondsey. He enlisted at Marylebourne, on 25/01/1915. Trained at Dover, Purfleet and Shoreham. Served with the 9th East Surrey Regiment. Killed in action, on 03/09/1916, aged 26. Buried at Deville Wood Cemetery, France.
His army effects were left to his widow, Mary.
