He resided in Hull and enlisted in Hull. Formerly, 71257, Royal Horse Artillery & Formerly, 84214, RFA. Transferred to the 1st Essex Battalion. Left for the Dardenelles, on 19/09/1915. Died of wounds, at Malta, on 20/01/1916. His army effects were left to Mary Ann
