BORN HULL, 25/10/1884. SON OF MRS ELEANOR FYSON (1850-1935) AND THE RIGHT REV. PHILIP KEMBAL FYSON (1846-1928), BISHOP IN HOKKAIDO, JAPAN, AND RECTOR, OF EMLEY LOVETT, DROITWICH, WORCESTSHIRE. HE EMIGRATED TO CANADA IN 1906, SETTLED IN VANCOUVER AND WORKED AS A CLERK. VOLUNTEERED ON THE OUTBREAK OF WAR, ON 05/08/1914. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 10.5 INCHES TALL, 160 LBS WEIGHT, 40 INCH CHEST, SCAR ON RIGHT KNEE, GREY EYES AND LIGHT BROWN HAIR. HE CAME OVER WITH THE FIRST CONTINGENT OF CANADIANS IN OCTOBER 1914. TRAINED AT SALISBURY PLAIN DURING THE WINTER OF 1914-1915. WENT TO FRANCE IN FEBRUARY 1916. KILLED IN ACTION, NEAR LANGEMARCK, ON 22/04/1915, AGED 30. HE WAS UNMARRIED. HE WAS BROTHER TO, PHILIP, HUGH, RHODA, GEOFFREY, MARY AND CHRISTOPHER. HE LEFT EVERYTHING IN HIS WILL TO HIS BROTHER, 2/LT.,GEOFFREY FYSON 1ST ROYAL SCOTS, WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 04/09/1918 AGED 33.
