HE LEFT £300 IN HIS WILL TO HIS FATHER, FRED WHO WAS A COMPANY SECRETARY, AT 107 LINNEAUS STREET, HULL (PROBATE ADDRESS). MISS CLARA GIBSON AT 25, DUESBURY STREET, HULL, BECAME GUARDIAN OF HIS CHILD (WAR PENSION RECORDS).

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON HULL’S HYMER COLLEGE WAR MEMORIAL AND AT ST JOHNS, NEWLAND WAR MEMORIAL, CLOUGH ROAD, HULL.

HE IS BURIED AT HARPONVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, SOMME, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “IN EVER LOVING MEMORY OF MY DEAR SON HE DIED FOR ENGLAND’S SAKE”
