Gooch, Arthur James

Born Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, 1893. His  parents were deceased, but his brother Sid, and sister, Florrie, both lived at the Citadel Hotel, Garrison Side, Hull.

Enlisted at Tottenham, London, on 11 Dec 1915. Formerly G/24311, R. Fusiliers. Transferred to the 11th, Machine Gun Corps. Killed in action, on 11 May 1917

Husband of Elsie May Clayton of 13, Pretoria Road, White Heart Lane, Tottenham, and Ann Robinson of 75, Beaver Road, Beverley, East Yorkshire (war pension address).

His army effects were left to Elsie May, who he married in 1915 & had two children.
