Native of Horncastle, Lincolnshire, 1888. Son of Harriet Kidd, of Gedney, Drove End, Long Sutton, Wisbech (CWGC address). A general Labourer.

He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 4th Seaforth Highlanders. Killed in action, on 10/07/1917, aged 29. Buried in Belgium. His grave inscription, reads, BORN AT HORNCASTLE LINCS. AT REST WITH THE LORD AFTER A HARD FIGHT. His army effects were left to his Aunt, Susannah White, and mother Harriet.
