Husband of Elsie May Newton of 7, Cave Terrace, Cave Street, Hull (war pension address).
Served in the 7th Durham Light Infantry, Labour Corps and Worcestershire Regiment. Discharged on 7/2/1919, with war aggravated Tuberculosis. Not issued with the Silver war Badge. Died in Hull 26/04/1926, aged 37.
His wife was committed to the Willerby Mental Institution (War pension records).
