Born Hull, 1889. Son of Thomas Hague (1835-1896) and Sarah Ann Thistlewood, of 10, Seaton Street, Fountain Road, Hull (1911 census address).
He was a time expired soldier, serving in the Royal Field Artillery for four years. Worked 7 years as a Butcher’s Apprentice.
Married at Hull registry Office, on 26 Feb 1914. Husband of Maud Lilian Clark (1893-1972), at 2, Alandale, Middleburg Street, Hull (War Pension address). They had two sons – Sydney Thistlewood Hague & Douglas Hague.
He was a Butcher by Trade. Described as 5 foot, 7,5 inches tall, 35 inch chest, 134 lbs weight, blue eyes, light brown hair, Church of England religion, “steady, hardworking and sober” – Very good character.
Enlisted at Hull, on 29 sept 1914. Posted to France, on 12 Jan 1915. Served as Acting Corporal, with the Royal Army Service Corps. Discharged on 19 April 1919.
After the war He worked at Alexandra Dock, for the Hull & Barnsley Railway Company.
Died at Hull, on 21 Jun 1923, aged 34.
