Served in the Royal Naval Reserve, on HM Drifter Pelagia. Killed in action, on 28 Nov 1916, when his ship hit a mine. He is commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent.
His Widow, Jane, lived at 4, Tavistock Street, Newland Avenue, Hull (CWGC address).
He is commemorated on the Beverley WW1 Memorial.
