Born Heckmondwike, Yorkshire 1881. Son of Edward & Carrie Hamilton. Served as Third Hand, on the steam trawler, ‘Sabrina’, lost at sea on the 21/05/1915. with nine crew. His wife Alice lived at 6 Claremont Avenue, Beecroft Street, Hull. His death was reported in the HDM, on 22/05/1917. His brother, Alfred W Hamilton was killed in action on 23/03/1918.
Sabrina (H 346) FV was a British registered fishing vessel of 179 grt that was probably mined by the cruiser Hamburg when 160 miles ENE of Spurn Head Light Vessel.
