BORN HULL 1892.YOUNGEST  SON OF THE HARRIET ANN BOYDEN (1863-1921) & SAM HARDY (1856-1909), OF 121 WATERLOO STREET, HULL. HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS.

HIS WIFE MARIA PARKINSON (BORN 22ND MAY 1892), LIVED 11 PRINCES WALK, CRAVEN STREET (CWGC ADDRESS); 27 , GEE STREET, HULL, (HULL DAILY MAIL ADDRESS, 07/08//1916) AND 40 HADDON STREET, HAWTHORNE AVENUE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE WAS STEP FATHER TO IVY MELTON (BORN 14TH JULY 1902). HE WORKED AS A BLACKSMITH STRIKER.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 13/07/1915. DIED OF SELF INFLICTED WOUNDS, DURING TEMPORARY INSANITY CAUSED BY WOUNDS IN ACTION. HE DIED AT RUGLEY ARMY CAMP, ON 04/08/1916, AGED 24. BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, MARIA.

FRANK’S DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 31ST MAY 1917 WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *

HIS BROTHER SAMUEL HARDY, WHO SERVED IN THE SAME REGIMENT WAS KILLED ON 12TH MAY 1917. HIS BROTHER CHRISTOPHER, SERVED IN THE ROYAL ENGINEERS AND WAS DISCHARGED ON 23RD APRIL 1917.
