Husband of Mary Train, of 19, Clarence Road, Bridlington (War Pension address). He had three daughters and a son. Worked for the North Eastern railways.

He died of Pneumonia while on active service, aged 38. Buried at Saint Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France.
