BORN HULL 1889. SON OF JOSEPH HARRISON & SELINA WHEELDON AT 41 FRANKLIN STREET, HULL. A FORMER GROCER’S ASSISTANT. HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS. HE MANANGED THE HESSLE ROAD, CO-OPERATIVE BRANCH.
HE MARRIED AT HULL IN 1912. HUSBAND OF HARRIET PRATT (1888-1941), AT 29, RUSTENBURG STREET, HULL.
HE ENLISTED IN HULL, AS PRIVATE, 4582 ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY (RGA), 146TH HULL HEAVY BRIGADE. AWARDED THE MILITARY MEDAL FOR BRAVERY AND KILLED IN THE SAME ACTION, ON 05/06/1917, AGED 28.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, HARRIET. ALSO LEFT SIBLINGS, JAMES ALFRED HARRISON, JOHN WHEELON HARRISON, AND SISTERS, ELIZABETH, SELINA AND MAY.
HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE ON ST MARY’S CHURCH WW1 MEMORIAL, LOWGATE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAIY MAIL, ON 27/06/1917*
