HE WAS CHIEF ENGINEER, ON THE STEAM SHIP “PERTH” FROM GLASGOW. SUNK BY SUBMARINE, ON 02/04/1916, AGED 61 HE LEFT £2,806 IN HIS WILL TO HIS WIDOW AND BROTHER FREDERICK HASELDEN, WHO DIED IN HULL IN 1919.
